Friday night and all is calm once again

WE took Daniel to meet his mama around 3 this afternoon, we sure had fun with the boy but as always it sure is quiet when he leaves, and of course his room is a turmoil, but I got all kinds of time to fix it back! in a few months anyway ha ha. Bobby got hurt at work, Wednesday has a concussion and is having some trouble seeing at times, but they did a CT scan and said all is well, just some drainage causing pressure around his eye from the concussion. It was hard babying him and playing with Daniel too, typical MAN couldn't pay him enough attention, he was up most of the night Wednesday but slept some last night. He must feel really bad we aren't at the bar tonight and he LOVES playing cards so he must really feel bad!! Well gotta go get on Ebay, oh yeah Daniel named the "pet " goat we bottle feed, "Underdog" cause he crawls under the fence when he sees us outside, he thinks Bobby is his mama cause she died giving birth to him and Bobby is the 1st thing he saw plus he feeds him more than I since I work and he feeds before I get home most nights, he gets home about 2 hours before I do.

My Friday from work

Yeahhoo, this is my Friday, this afternoon Ipick up Daniel for two nioghts and days, tehn Friday he has to go back to his mama's house, but I will do my best to totally ruin him in that time frame. We are going to play with the goats and anything else he wants to do, he never gets to be at home cause his mama is always running and doing their thing so he loves to just be here and not go anywhere so other than going out to eat we will probably be palying with his old toys here, maybe even weed some out for the next yard sale? he is like the rest of us, hates to throw or give up his stuff...I probably will not be back on line till Saturday...meanwhile, I have started on another "Well Traveled Bag" in navy solid, light blue solid, multi blues & sage and sage solid. This time I will nt ofelt as much, and I plan to use more yarn and increase length of each round. this pattern is a crochet but moves so quickly and is a no thinking project. I just keep up with the rounds with a pen and post it note. Goodbye for now

Monday, YUCK

yes it's Monday but I only have to work today, tomorrow and Wednesday then I get 4 days off yeah, I am almost finished I think with Angie's shawl, it is really pretty, she is suppose to come by, I have one more skein of yarn I could make it longer if she wants and I need to know if she wants fringe and if so how long.

so while I wait for her to come by before I join another skein I started on another "well traveled bag" it was on a crochet group I am in and I did one already the pattern is really easy, only last time I felted too much and it came out smaller than I want, so last night I started another one, only I may not do the grommets and leather for handle this time I plan to crochet a long handle and maybe line and fasten with one of those magnetic fasteners, then I plan to do one in double cotton yarn for the summer.

yesterday I dusted off my sewing maching and lined two bags I had done and repaired two pairs of Bobby's work pants. one of my bags is darling I knitted it in straight garter stitch in white cotton thread. the other one I knitted from an interweave pattern and felted it as well, it also shrunk the wrong way, I wanted it long in length, it came out short in length and long in width, but I finished it off anyway and will probably be a gift for someone Christmas, If I can ever remember to but a camera I'll make some pics for my blog...if I can figure out how!! I may have to get some of my knitting group friends to jump in and help with that as well, they are such greta techy friends, and I also have a log distance friend in ND who is very techy if she can talk me through it.

Sunday 3/24

Snow, yep we had flurries yesterday, we watched the Busch race yesterday in Bristol and theyhad enough snow to be throwing snowballs, what fun the fans and crews were having!! had my boys for Friday night and yesterday, had a wonderful time with them, I am really looking forward to having Daniel to myself for two whole days Thursday and Friday! he is growing up so but still so much fun, he loves to play with the goats and his room here has all his old toys from birth I just can't seem to toss them cause he still goes in there and finds all kinds of stuff. think he has finally put together all the lego stuff he got for Christmas, he had gotten this huge plane from my sister to put together so it went to his daddy's house so he could help, Brax said they had finished it and it is in his room at his Daddy and Julie's house. I kept all the little easy stuff for here for quick put togethering..well tomorrow back to work but it is only a 3 day week for me yahoo....

Hump Day!!

MY baby boy is 34 today Whew glad I'm only 40.....ok this morning the sun is shinning and if I hadn't open the door and see snow on the windshield of the truck I could believe it would be warm out there but alas, it is only 33 degrees, but today is is suppose to be 49 so we are moving towards spring, at least I'm not in IN they really have snow!! we just had a dusting, by the time I get ready for work it'll be melted. 2 more days and x my boys will be here to spend the night, my DIL is going on a Retreat to Gatlinburg, so I am going to spoil them for her while she's gone. I look forward to it too..Make it a GREAT day!!

Sunday afternoon

almost time to go bottle feed my kids, we have two, one doesn't have a mama and one's mama doesn't give enough milk he has a brother that is bigger and takes it all from his mama so we help out, a wonderful Sunday so far, got all the laundry done and even knitted some, finished cleaning out my winter closet, huge garbage bag for GW Boutique (my term for Goodwill) most of it came from ther anyway and tomorrow is 10 for $5 so may try to go, I need to do the same with my summer closet but, not today!! Angie's shawl is coming along nicely, probably half way done already, it'll be winter before she wears it anyway, if then... but she chose the yarn and it is really prettier knitted up than it was in the skein. A pretty green kinda a lime color, it is called Florida something...have to go look on the skein and I am too lazy to go to the couch to look...well time ot check out Ebay this afternoon, my son would be proud, I did powertools this morning, I am still mighty amazed at all the stuff on there..hello to my New Mexico old Friend Sonia!!

whoo hoo Saturday

ok yes I went on line and worked, I said this was something I was not going to do when I got my computer but I am so far behind I had too just for a little while, now I off and plan to enjoy the day, an auction this morning, probably will not buy a thing but it is an estate sale for an old friend's aunt and I hope to see her and some of her family there today, I am listening ot Bob Seger, my best friend in FL burned it for me ages ago, now I cna do that kind of thing myself, only with /dial-up it would be easier to just go buy what I want..GOT to go tidy the house I am going to take my knitting with me, My dayghter's shawl is coming along beautifully, Deb, the thread is called FL Greens, ha!! gotta run chickadees see ya'll later

Thursday night, No knitting done tonight cause I received my very 1st ebay purchase, yep my 20 workbasket magazines came they range for 1959-1969, pretty cool, old knitting and crochet, tatting patterns, but I really may try some of the recipes, I found several baby knit items I really want to try, now if I could just have another grandchild I could knit away, I may start one after I finish this shawl for my daughter, it is going to be a really nice one, She picked this bright grean homespun I would have never picked, I don't remember wanting to be that colorful at 36 but I did have two kids and she has none maybe that was the difference I was more boring, anyway I am about halfway done so I may try one of these older saques they were called then just in case, here is a pic of her on her birthday in Jan. more to come....

Good morning everyone, I managed to get signed back on this morning so guess this one is a keeper, now if I could figure out how to delete the other one, of course if I could get signed back on there I wouldn't have that problem. Well now I need to get dressed for work, bummer...but it is Friday EVE!!! whoo hoo.
